The Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) – launched its annual Winter Campaign. That was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development.
As part of the Campaign, AIG distributed heaters, blankets and gasoline coupons to 200 underprivileged families living in Al Jizah, an impoverished area located in the vicinity of QAIA. To support its on-ground activities, AIG also launched a Twitter campaign through the hashtag #TweetForHeatJo, which was used by Jordanian tweeps to raise public awareness and promote community solidarity.
“Each year, we strive to empower local communities through our CSR activities and programs. We hope that our Winter Campaign has helped cover some of the basic needs of disadvantaged families in Al Jizah during these harsh winter months,” commented AIG CEO, Kjeld Binger.”
