Intercontinental Jordan Completes Level 4 in Green Engage

InterContinental Jordan was officially certified for the completion of Level 4 of InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) Green Engage, making it one of the first 46 IHG hotels out of the 871 IHG hotels in Asia, Middle East & Africa to complete the top level of the environmentally-related program.

The process of completing all four levels of the Green Engage program was spearheaded by InterContinental Jordan’s Assistant Chief Engineer, Saeed Mohammad since 2010. He led the designated Green Engage committee to make sure that all requirements were completed successfully and efficiently. His drive and passion was clearly evident through the committee team members and the colleagues in general.

“This is a great achievement that we are all proud of”, said Mr. Jan Ifcic, General Manager of InterContinental Jordan. “Conserving and saving the environment is one of our most important objectives at IHG and at InterContinental Jordan. We are fully aware that guests now are not only looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay, but also one that is environmentally-friendly. Reaching such a feat could not have been possible without the great efforts of our dedicated and passionate colleagues.”

Green Engage is part of IHG’s global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, which focuses on providing guests with “greener” hotels, as all activities and procedures undertaken at the IHG hotels that adopt the Green Engage system take into serious consideration the environment and its conservation.
