Abdali Boulevard to Open in June

Abdali Boulevard, the pedestrian corridor that runs the length of the multi-billion dollar canada goose Kvinnor Canada Goose Abdali mixed-use mega project, is finally set to open in June after years of delays caused by the global financial crisis.

The 380-meter-long boulevard is lined by 12 buildings housing shops, restaurants, and offices, as well as 400 serviced apartments, and 1,500 underground parking spaces. Last month, over 50,000 people visited the boulevard over 10 days for a specially staged Spring-themed festival.

The boulevard forms the centerpiece canada goose Langford Parka of the ongoing Abdali project, a new Dubai-style central business district that aims to attract more investment to the city. “If you want to promote Amman as a business hub then we need a [well-planned] center where all services are provided based on the latest technology,” said George Amireh, the CEO of Abdali Psc, which is a partnership between the National Resources and Development Corporation (Mawared) and Bahaa Rafik Hariri’s Horizon International for Development Ltd.

Even though only 30 percent of the boulevard will be occupied when it opens, Amireh said everything was on track. “For this project to [work] the way we envisioned, it will take at least one more year, when the other projects are inaugurated and people start to occupy these spaces,” he said.

Starting from next year, more components of the Abdali project would be inaugurated, Amireh said, including the Abdali Mall, the Damac residential tower, and the Rotana Tower, which will contain a 400-room, five-star hotel. While in 2016, a Johns Hopkins Hospital will be completed, followed by the Le Gray hotel.

The Abdali project was one of a slew of huge real estate schemes launched in Jordan during the economic boom that closely preceded the global economic crash. While Abdali now appears to be slowly attracting more funding, including $80 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to the Abdali Mall, other projects remain stalled, including the Jordan Gate towers.
