Coca-Cola Sponsors Training for Pioneers of “Generations For Peace” Commission

Coca-ColaThe Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Jordan (CCBCJ)  sponsored the Amman Advanced Training for the Pioneers of the “Generations For Peace” Commission 2015, which was held from the 20th until the 26th of November 2015, for young leaders from ten countries around the world.

On its part, CCBCJ assumed the role of the official beverages sponsor of the Amman Advanced Training 2015 for the Pioneers of the “Generations For Peace” Commission during the whole training period, which lasted for seven consecutive days. This sponsorship came as a result of Coca-Cola’s interest in participating in such events and programs that serve the youth and the development of their personal and practical skills in order to enable them to have a positive impact on their communities.

At the closing of the training program, His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Al Hussein, the founder of the (Generations For Peace) initiative, thanked CCBCJ in for its effective role in such events. His Royal Highness also presented certificates of appreciation for CCBCJ’s management for their constructive participation in the Amman advanced training program for Generations For Peace Pioneers 2015.

“Generations For Peace” is a non-profit organization seeking to entrench a culture of peace in the world. It was founded by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein in 2007, with headquarters in Al Hussein Youth & Sport City, Amman. Over the last 8 years, “Generations For Peace” has trained 8,900 volunteers in 50 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe. It trains, supports and mentors the volunteers in promoting youth leadership, community empowerment, active tolerance, and responsible citizenship, in order to address local issues of conflict and violence.

Children, youth, and adults are involved in the program through the activities which are selectively organized focusing on sports, art and advocacy, dialogue and empowerment. These activities act also as a means for integrated education and sustainable behavioral change.
